Reply to Jan Woolf
In her praise of the sempiternal Pentameters Theatre (Iso-lona Diary 10), Jan Woolf says that “Passing Hampstodians … can have a live performance every morning between 11am and noon”. But she adds that “A counterblast of Wagner from an uncharitable neighbour put paid to that”. Fortunately, however, Pentameters continues to offer its daily live performances to passers by – having ensured that those performances are audible without disturbing the neighbours.
